CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 2008!

Cheerleader, Snowbunny, Desheng Darling, SpicyGirl, Our New Friend, Doodlebug
Chinese New Year is a very important holiday in China. You can read a brief description of how the Chinese celebrate here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year
We obviously don’t follow all of the traditions, but we try to make it a special day for our children. Tonight we celebrated CNY by meeting with our friends at a local Chinese restaurant. The girls looked beautiful in their traditional Chinese attire. We all had a wonderful time. The girls, however, may have enjoyed themselves a little too much. Don’t let those angelic smiles fool you...They were quite active tonight! I was just glad that there were only a few people in the restaurant. Where’s a good indoor playground when you need one? LOL. (We missed you, PandaGirl.)

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

We don't celebrate all of the traditions either and I am sending a little blurb to Lil Miss Firecracker's shcool minus those parts to go along with the red evelopes she is giving her friends. Since we live close to 2 Asian markets, we were able to buy lots of red envelopes and fortunately CVS has lots of chocolate coins to go in them.

TTYS!

OH, how beautiful DD and DB look in their red dresses! What charming smiles too. Sounds like a great time celebrating with friends. They are very fortunate to have a group to share these special moments with as they grow. Priceless, thanks for the smiles and Happy New Year. There is a package on the way to DD too (finally)!
