THE LATEST

Just making sure that she can come back home with us. lol

Yesterday, we received our airline tickets, passports, visas and travel information!!! Unfortunately, our travel date has been changed. We won’t be leaving until August 18th. We had hoped to travel domestically one day prior to our international flight and spend the night in a hotel near the airport. That way we would be rested and wouldn’t have to worry about missing our connecting flight to China. Our agency “somehow” missed that request…although it was sent to them in writing, via email, and verbally over the phone. Just a minor detail, I’m sure. Oh well, as long as they have everything else correct, I think we will manage. We will just be in flight 20 hours in one day, rather than the 16 we had hoped for. What’s 4 hours????? Just 240 minutes or maybe 14,400 seconds!!!! Now, if DD is asleep, it might seem like just a minor inconvenience but…Let’s just hope she sleeps! Lol

Good news! I have been following this blog: http://www.maxchunyangwise.blogspot.com/ It is about a little boy, Max, who is in the same orphanage as Doodlebug. His family is in China right now completing the adoption! They were allowed to visit the orphanage yesterday and his sweet mother, Chelsie, took some pictures of Doodlebug!!!! Can you believe it? We are so blessed! She is going to email them to me soon. I know she is asleep right now, but I hope she wakes up early in the morning. I am so anxious to see the pictures. I will post them as soon as I get them.
Sorry I haven't responded lately on some other blogs, I have just been so preoccupied lately. Hope you understand.

Max is a doll! How wonderful you are able to follow another family there just before you. Ican't wait to read about your trip. I remember the last week before leaving. I must have called Glamour mommy 5 times in 30 minutes with packing questions. Seeing their blog brings back many, many memories. We are counting down the days with you in spirit. We enjoyed the Anhui Provincial museum in Hefei, the zoo and shopping.

Chat soon!

That is so awesome! I can't wait to see the new pictures.

I just printed out your itinerary, and Doodlebug's picture did show up in the background. I love it. We will put it on our fridge to remind us to say a prayer for y'all every day.

Oh how wonderful that you connected with someone that is in China now at Doodlebug's orphanage. I am thrilled that you are getting more pictures of your sweet daughter. I can hardly wait to see them too!
The picture of your daughter looking at her passport is priceless. I love her outfit. She is going to be a great big sister. I can't wait to follow your journey to doodlebug. Please know that I will be praying for you all every single day. That's a promise!
