Families are JOY!

My previous post was entitled, “What Will She Say Next?” Well, this is what she said last night, “Families are Joy! I love my family.” So sweet. For at least 2 months, DD has been on a “family kick.” On several occasions, she has said, “Thank you for coming to China to get me. I’m so glad you did. I’m so glad I have a family. I didn’t have a mommy and daddy then, but now I do.”

This is how she tells her story:
One day Mommy was sitting on the couch with nothing to do.
(I’m not sure where she got that part.) That’s when God told her that a baby girl was going to be born in China and that the baby girl was to be her daughter. The little girl would have beautiful black hair and dark brown eyes. She would be called Desheng Darling. (Reminds me a little of the Christmas story. LOL) And God said that you are going to LOVE her forever and never stop loving her.

DD also says this, “I know you love me, but why? Why do you love me?” Of course DD is never short on words, so she answers herself by saying, “You love me because God made me just for you. I’m very special. I was a gift to you. God gave me to you forever. That’s just the way families are. They love each other. You will always be my mommy and I will love you forever, and you will love me forever. I couldn’t have a better mommy. I’m glad you love me. Families are Joy. Love you Mommy!”
I couldn’t have answered it better, myself. I think I’ll just keep her.

So sweet!!!!! And she's so right - families are JOY! Lia was practicing some very basic addition tonight and then she suddenly said, "What's daddy + momma + me equal?" Her daddy said "three" and I said "a family" and Lia said, "right, a family". Love hearing those words from our little girls!
