In Living Color...

She was cute in black & white, but a little color never hurt anyone. Doesn’t she look precious? She’s beautiful! !!!!! I don’t believe a word about her being active, restless, or obstinate!!! lol
Not only does a little color help, I’m sure a bath wouldn’t hurt. I stopped by a Chinese restaurant today and asked them to read our paperwork. It will still be at least 2 wks before we receive our translation. We have deciphered most of the information by comparing it to DD’s referral papers. I wasn’t really prepared for this though….The interpreter read that Doodlebug received only 1 bath during the winter months and 3 during the summer months. You never know what she might look like after a good soaking in the tub! lol

Seriously, I know that many of these little girls have never had a tub bath. They are sponged off with a washcloth, so they are not accustomed to bathing as we know it. DD cried every time we tried to bathe her in China, but she loves a good, long bath now.

Wow, I'm grossed out if I let S.G. go 3 days without a bath. Of course, these little girls are a lot more active and sweaty here.

She's just as cute as can be!! I can't wait to see her in person!

I think that this little doll has just won the lotto. And what a blessing she will be to you. Can't wait for her to meet a previous lotto winner, S.G.

Different customs and different views are always fascinating!! I remember going 12 days once and you kind of get used to it!! Of course once I got back to civilization it was the first thing I did!!! I'm sure she is wonderful no matter how clean she is. I bet she will be mesmerized by your oders!!

I stumbled across your blog and wanted to say congrats on your referral! What a cutie! As an fyi, in reviewing several SN children's files, I've seen mention of the bathing, and it usually refers to the child only getting a bath once a day in the winter and twice a day in the summer - sounds like your little one might be even cleaner getting 3/day in the summer (perhaps she's in a very humid province?). So hopefully this proves true instead of the once a winter theory. =)

I think she is soooooo gorgeous! We missed seeing the pics in person today, but totally understand things being crazy!

Baths: PG's paperwork said that she got one bath a day in the winter and two in the summer. I had to say, "Yeah, right!" on that info. There is no way those nannies bathed all those babies THAT much!
